REAL SOLUTIONS FOR THE INDUSTRY 5.0 TRANSITION OF THE MEUSE-RHINE MANUFACTURING SME (REAL)

Manufacturing SMEs (mSMEs) are at a turning point. While many mSMEs are still struggling with Industry 4.0, focused on automation and datadriven technology, Industry 5.0 is already emerging. This new paradigm integrates Industry 4.0, human centricity, sustainability, and resilience. For SMEs, this transition is especially challenging: limited resources and expertise make it difficult to integrate advanced data solutions and sustainability. The human centered approach of Industry 5.0 does however bring opportunities for better adaptation by SMEs. The overall objective of “REAL” project is to take the first step towards Industry 5.0 together with mSMEs in the Meuse-Rhine-region.
