The research project FORWARD undertakes a strategic foresight and technology assessment in the field of digital education and thus generates relevant findings that support policy-making in the field of digitisation of continuing education in a (post-)pandic society. FORWARD focuses on the consequences of increasing digitisation in further education and training, taking the example of the low-skilled. In this context, FORWARD identifies both opportunities (e.g. media-didactic approaches) and risks of digitisation (e.g. new inequalities) in further education and training with regard to the target group of the low-skilled as well as relevant political strategies for action. In particular, FORWARD focuses its analysis on the consequences of the Corona pandemic on the participation and involvement of the low-skilled. The project thus contributes to policy making by analysing the consequences of digital transformation processes in relation to a vulnerable target group in a (post-)pandemic society.
