Domi­nik Kaus hat sei­nen Mas­ter of Arts im Stu­di­en­gang der inte­gra­ti­ven Sozi­al­wis­sen­schaf­ten, mit einem Schwer­punkt im Bereich Tech­nik und Kom­pe­tenz, an der RPTU Kai­sers­lau­tern absol­viert.

Bereits wäh­rend sei­nes Stu­di­ums hat­te Herr Kaus für das Insti­tut als wis­sen­schaft­li­che Hilfs­kraft in Pro­jek­ten des “Mit­tel­stand digi­tal Zen­trums” und “digi­ta­le Teams” gear­bei­tet.

Seit April 2021 ist Herr Kaus am Insti­tut als wis­sen­schaft­li­cher Mit­ar­bei­ter ange­stellt. Sei­ne Kern­tä­tig­kei­ten sind in dem For­schungs­pro­jekt rea­di sowie dem Regio­na­len Zukunfts­zen­trum für künst­li­che Intel­li­genz (RZz­KI) ver­or­tet. Die Arbeits­schwer­punk­te von Herrn Kaus lie­gen dabei in den fol­gen­den Berei­chen:

Streng­the­ned resi­li­ence in manu­fac­tu­ring SMEs through agi­le, human-cen­te­red digi­tal sys­tems and sys­tems design (READI)

The READI rese­arch pro­ject pur­sues the goal of enab­ling com­pa­nies to iden­ti­fy, estab­lish, anchor and har­mo­ni­ze the struc­tures, pro­ces­ses and tech­ni­cal pre­re­qui­si­tes requi­red for sus­tainable and con­ti­nuous chan­ge capa­bi­li­ty within the frame­work of a mul­ti-stage chan­ge model inclu­ding a set of mea­su­res.

IDIAL – Intel­li­gent Ser­vices Inno­va­ti­ve Agi­le Local

IDIAL aims to deve­lop AI ser­vices for know­ledge workers in the skil­led trades that are spe­ci­fi­cal­ly tail­o­red to the needs of smal­ler com­pa­nies. Tog­e­ther with part­ners DFKI and eBZ, eco­no­mic and prac­ti­cal approa­ches are being rese­ar­ched and deve­lo­ped that opti­mi­se work pro­ces­ses in the field of know­ledge work and take into account the spe­ci­fic requi­re­ments of SMEs. The IDIAL solu­ti­on stra­tegy focu­ses on the ear­ly inte­gra­ti­on of ergo­no­mic and tech­no­lo­gi­cal deve­lo­p­ment based on the spe­ci­fic tasks of infor­ma­ti­on and know­ledge workers. On the one hand, the pro­ject deli­vers imme­dia­te­ly usable results for com­pa­nies in the sta­te and is inten­ded to con­tri­bu­te to tech­no­lo­gy-ori­en­ted com­pe­tence buil­ding in Rhi­ne­land-Pala­ti­na­te.
