The pro­ject ‘Smart col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve work­flow deve­lo­p­ment in the foot­wear indus­try — MELLOW’ was laun­ched on 1 Janu­ary 2025. It is fun­ded as part of the ‘Future of Work’ pro­gram­me by the Fede­ral Minis­try of Edu­ca­ti­on and Rese­arch (BMBF) and the Euro­pean Uni­on via the Euro­pean Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus) and is mana­ged by the Pro­ject Manage­ment Agen­cy Karls­ru­he (PTKA). Inter­na­tio­nal coope­ra­ti­on, diver­se pro­ces­ses and digi­tal inter­faces are making work­flows more com­plex, chal­len­ging com­pa­nies to ensu­re pro­duct qua­li­ty and social stan­dards in pro­duc­tion net­works. MELLOW focus­ses on the Ger­man foot­wear indus­try as part of glo­bal value-crea­ting net­works. The aim is to impro­ve the qua­li­ty of work, pro­ces­ses and pro­ducts in inter­na­tio­nal pro­duc­tion net­works in two use cases by deve­lo­ping and imple­men­ting a digi­tal assistant equip­ped with sen­sors and AI. We look for­ward to working with all the pro­ject part­ners over the next three years!
