Dear friends,
Last time when we met virtually, we were optimistic that at our final meeting Corona would already be history, but unfortunately this is not yet the case. Instead of finalising the project at a cosy retreat somewhere in a German Wine area, we will be sitting again in our offices, living rooms or kitchens, with a coffee mug in our hands, and join yet another video conference. While this may sound slightly boring, there are good – yet other reasons – to be optimistic. Developments for a vaccination have quite succeeded, so it is realistic to expect them to be used for the wider public starting within the next 2 or 3 months from now. And: autumns in wine areas come back indeed every year, so maybe we should prepare for a new project and start it where the current one was supposed to end…
Anyway, let’s dive into our last transnational project meeting. Although the meeting has also a thematic focus, we also need to put emphasis on some organisational issues to make sure that we fulfill all the obligations that came with the project funding. This relates particularly to dissemination activities and the evaluation of our project activities. This web page contains all the sources and links we will be using during our meeting.
Content prepared in advance: Particularly videos and Powerpoint slides can be viewed in high quality at your computer, because you download them first and view them then. Technical problems or poor internet connection will not disturb us using these contents prepared in advance.
Interactive parts: Here we use video conference software. But even if this does not work well on your side, you still can participate by phone (see box righthandside / below) for details.
Regarding the technology used: We are using the software from GoToMeeting. They provide apps for almost all mobile devices like phones or tablets, and can be used as well from desktop computers or laptops. For the latter ones you can simply install software from your web-browser even if you do not have administrator rights on your computer. Both, the installation of an app as well as the software installation on computers / laptops can be initiated via the following link:

Once installed, there is no need to repeat this step for any further video conferences hosted by GoToMeeting.
As we cannot guarantee the connection quality, there is an option to join a meeting as well by phone. So you could, for example, use your computer for the picture / video transmission, but you would use in parallel your phone for audio (microphone and loudspeaker). GoToMeeting has access numbers in Sweden, Finland and Greece, but unfortunately no access numbers in Portugal yet.
